So I recently had my birthday and part of my present was to go to London Fashion Weekend which is something I have wanted to go to for ages. Originally I wanted to go to London Fashion Week but that is closed to the public unless you are an amazing fashion blogger or in someway connected to the fashion world and due to the fact I often neglect my blog it wasn't even worth trying to get tickets!
So the 2 events are very closely linked the main difference being the fact LFWE is open to the public, you also have the opportunity whilst there, to browse discounted designer clothes and see one of 2 fashion shows either the Designer Show ( where you see clothing items from just 1 designer) or the Trend show which is the one I attended ( where you see 4 trends for S/S)
I purchased the ticket which included the "show bag", this year it has been designed by Radley and was really useful to have. Inside the bag it included some amazing products and samples from the sponsors of the event (which you can see in the image below in closer detail)! I am yet to try out any of the products but if I like them I will either do a video or blog post on them or some of them may well be in a monthly favourites video.
As you can see I received a Label.m shine spray, a Jergens body moisturiser, some coffee, a Colgate toothpaste,a card holder,a blister plaster, a pack of tissues and (the thing I am most excited about) an Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Lip Protectant Gloss.
Elle Magazine was also a sponsor of the event and was offering their March Issue for only £1 instead of the usual £4. Also as a special offer they were doing a deal which allowed you to get 12 Issues for only £15 and an exclusive chance to get some Benefit makeup including the all famous Hoola Bronzer and the smaller size of the They're Real Mascara ( which is normally £9.50).
Other sponsors included Diet Coke-who were handing out free Diet Cokes everywhere and offering a picture which a gorgeous man in an elevator; Muller-who handed out lots of yogurts, which were handy whilst we were waiting to go in and a free mirror if you entered the unique code on a piece of paper; Bueno-who offered amazing hand or back and shoulder massages and free bars of their delicious chocolate; Vodafone- who provided a free red nail varnish to all of their customers which is really useful as Red Nails is a massive trend ready for Summer.
The Show I said as I said earlier included 4 trends ( annoyingly I got really rubbish pictures of the 1st 2 trends especially as Urban Lifestyle was my favourite category so I am sorry for the quality) -
Graphic Art:
Urban Lifestyle:
Eastern Promise:
Dolls House:
I had an incredible time at the event (thank you so much to my parents who brought me a ticket) and would recommend it to anyone and will defiantly go again!
Sorry for the really long post, L-I-M-M x
P.s. Another big highlight for me was seeing beauty guru FleurdeForce and her friend TalkBeckyTalk at LFWE!
