London Fashion Weekend 2013 Pictures and Haul

 Hey guys,

So I recently had my birthday and part of my present was to go to London Fashion Weekend which is something I have wanted to go to for ages. Originally I wanted to go to London Fashion Week but that is closed to the public unless you are an amazing fashion blogger or in someway connected to the fashion world and due to the fact I often neglect my blog it wasn't even worth trying to get tickets!

So the 2 events are very closely linked the main difference being the fact LFWE is open to the public, you also have the opportunity whilst there, to browse discounted designer clothes and see one of 2 fashion shows either the Designer Show ( where you see clothing items from just 1 designer) or the Trend show which is the one I attended ( where you see 4 trends for S/S)

I purchased the ticket which included the "show bag", this year it has been designed by Radley and was really useful to have. Inside the bag it included some amazing products and samples from the sponsors of the event (which you can see in the image below in closer detail)! I am yet to try out any of the products but if I like them I will either do a video or blog post on them or some of them may well be in a monthly favourites video.

As you can see I received a Label.m shine spray, a Jergens body moisturiser, some coffee, a Colgate toothpaste,a card holder,a blister plaster, a pack of tissues and (the thing I am most excited about) an Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Lip Protectant Gloss.

Elle Magazine was also a sponsor of the event and was offering their March Issue for only £1 instead of the usual £4. Also as a special offer they were doing a deal which allowed you to get 12 Issues for only £15 and an exclusive chance to get some Benefit makeup including the all famous Hoola Bronzer and the smaller size of the They're Real Mascara ( which is normally £9.50).
Other sponsors included Diet Coke-who were handing out free Diet Cokes everywhere and offering a picture which a gorgeous man in an elevator; Muller-who handed out lots of yogurts, which were handy whilst we were waiting to go in and a free mirror if you entered the unique code on a piece of paper; Bueno-who offered amazing hand or back and shoulder massages and free bars of their delicious chocolate; Vodafone- who provided a free red nail varnish to all of their customers which is really useful as Red Nails is a massive trend ready for Summer.
The Show I said as I said earlier included 4 trends ( annoyingly I got really rubbish pictures of the 1st 2 trends especially as Urban Lifestyle was my favourite category so I am sorry for the quality) -

I had an incredible time at the event (thank you so much to my parents who brought me a ticket) and would recommend it to anyone and will defiantly go again!
Sorry for the really long post, L-I-M-M x

P.s. Another big highlight for me was seeing beauty guru FleurdeForce and her friend TalkBeckyTalk at LFWE!

First Impressions/Review :)

So I am currently uploading my new video but as you can see from this... it is taking a hell of a long time!
Hopefully you will like it once it's up; I think the reason it is taking so long as I'm trying to upload it in HD for the first time :)
So I said in the review I would put some pictures up in my blog of the foundation on- you will be able to see from these how sheer the coverage was and I am very very sorry for the state of my face and the spots which are totally gross!

Sorry again! But (hopefully) it helps you to get a proper impression of what the foundation is like :)
Thanks anyways

A Healthy Heartwarming Winter Salad

Hey guys, as you can see I'm back with another food post :)

So the other night I had a weird salad craving and with it being Winter and super cold in the UK I decided I would try and make a more Wintery Salad!
So as you can see from the picture it has hot food in it which makes it more Winter appropriate.

The ingredients I used were:
A small onion
5 Button Mushrooms
Iceberg Lettuce
Pepper
Olive Oil
A chicken Slice
An Egg

The first thing I did was add some iceberg lettuce to my bowl ( about a hand full) and put in it the fridge to keep it cool while I cooked the rest of the meal.

Then I chopped up the small onion into small strips; the pepper into chunks and the mushrooms into quarters and fried them all in a little bit of olive oil. You know it is done when the mushrooms and onion go light brown and the pepper becomes soft.
Then I put the lid on the pan to keep it warm.

As I have an AGA ( type of oven) I can make really healthy fried eggs as all I have to do is put a sheet down on the "hob"  and put the egg straight on top with no oil. But for others an egg can be fried in a frying pan with some olive oil.
Whilst the egg is cooking ( which takes approx 5 minutes) I ripped up the chicken slice to create a layer above the salad and then added the chopped vegetables on top.
Finally I finished cooking the egg, put in on top and seasoned with some pepper :)
So, I hope you guys liked this and please let me know if you try it out!
Thanks L-I-M-M x

Scrambled Mackeral

Hey Guys,
So today I thought I'd experiment with my lunch today and try and go for something healthy:
I've decided to call it Scrambled Mackeral- gross as it sounds from that title it actually tasted amazing.

So I started off with a piece of toasted 3 grain Bread (Rye,oats and barley), now this contains no preservations and is low in fat and high in fibre. Around it I put some salad which includes Watercress and Spinach.
Watercress or any dark green leafy vegetables e.g spinach are great as they are good detox foods. Firstly, watercress leaves are packed with many vital detoxifying nutrients, including several B vitamins, zinc, potassium, Iron, vitamin E and vitamin C. Also, watercress has some natural properties which help to flush toxins out the body, they are also known to lower blood pressure and improve eye sight and eye health .

On top of the bread I then put a mixture of cooked peeled plum tomatoes and some peppered mackeral which I heated up in a pan while I cooked the egg.
Some benefits of eating tomatoes include a stronger immune system, better heart health and a prevention of blood clots.
It is really important the body gets a supply of oily fish e.g. salmon, mackeral, sardines or trouth as they are rich in omega 3 fatty acids these contain fat, but it is unsaturated and has strong health benefits including a lower risk of heart disease, brain damage, strokes, dementia, some cancers and (added bonus girls) reduces signs of ageing . It is also great for skin, hair and overall body health and contain vitamins A and D.

Finally I just added 2 eggs which I scrambled with a bit of milk and cooked in a pan for around 5 minutes strirring constantly otherwise it sticks to the bottom of the pan.
Although eggs are high in fat and contains cholesterol, again it is the type the body needs not the unheathly kind, eggs also contain lots of protein which allow for muscle to build and will keep you feeling full for longer and finally they contains all 9 of the essential amino acids.Eggs also promote healthy hair and nails because of their high sulphur content and they contain lots of vitamins e.g. B12 and minerals.

So yeah, hope you like this guys and I will probably put up a healthy breakfast idea and some others meals too ( let me know what you think), this is a super healthy lunch idea which doesn't take very long to prepare and it will keep you feeling full for ages.
Thanks for reading my blog

Maybelline Colossal Volum'Express Waterproof Mascara

 Hi Guys,

So today I thought I would do a review on the Maybelline Colossal Volum'Express Waterproof Mascara in Black. My first opinion of it was the fact the brush was massive, I personally find this is great as it means your mascara takes a lot less less to put on.
As for the small which quite a few people complain about.... it didn't affect me at all. I didn't find it to strong, it was subtle enough that I would notice it unless I actually picked up the mascara TO smell.

As far as packaging goes and what it says on it, I think the yellow is a great colour as it really stands out of the shelf. The formula is very waterproof and doesn't seem to smudge at all. I don't know if it gives 7x more volume to my lashes ( because mine are already very dark and long) but there is definitely a lot of volume given.

I think my only complaint would be I find this mascara VERY very difficult to remove, yes I know it is waterproof but I'm yet to find a makeup remover that can get this mascara of off my eyes quickly and without leaving massive panda eyes behind :)

Thanks for reading

Hair Re-vamp

So, as we are about to change season I thought I would revamp my hair and change hairdressers. So goodbye 60's hair ...
Let me know what you guys think, as you can see, I've had a side fringe put in along with layers and some shaping.
Was so suprised to be told my hair was actually dry, as I think its greasy, guess I have been over washing my hair. I will be buying a hair oil, I know morrocean oil is highly reccomended are there any other ones you guys know about; maybe a high street dupe? Also any good shampoos you can reccomend for dry hair.

Thanks guys, love you
